Beautiful pictures and great ideas. I too discovered jam making very recently (only a year) but i love it! I also don't like them very sweet and love to make all kinds of combinations. My most recent, based on one I tried at a B&B in Canada, pumpkin, orange, lemmon and ginger. Since i live in Miami, i'm going to try with all the tropicalAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6965298.post-1129044246787407362005-10-11T05:24:00.000-10:002005-10-11T05:24:00.000-10:00Hi Chika,Nice combinations, wonderful tastes and g...Hi Chika,
Nice combinations, wonderful tastes and great photographs. It was yummy too.
I wrote a comment to her post about a salad sauce I made. The pictures are fantastic!! I love home-made jams (and pickles), but also wish that there were more recipes around that make smaller quantities. I only eat jam on toast or bread very occasionally, tending to use it more for filling cakes. I think someone needs to come up with a cookbook for making single AnnaWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16851796353544414026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6965298.post-1128729691324663732005-10-07T14:01:00.000-10:002005-10-07T14:01:00.000-10:00Ahhhh Chika, nice photo's.Good subject; I too, li...Ahhhh Chika, nice photo's.

Good subject; I too, like the idea of the fig and rosemary.
The combination of flavors sound delicious.

I have recently re-discovered apple butter and enjoy that on a nice piece of toasty bread.

I wouldn't know what to do with one of those larger jars of preserves. And with the cardamom in it, I'd be all over it - I guess we're (in Germany) somewhat passed jam season peak, but I'm almost positive we'll get back to the mason and weck jars before the year ends...

Posted by OliverAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6965298.post-1128703744995980692005-10-07T06:49:00.000-10:002005-10-07T06:49:00.000-10:00Hello Chika! This is an intresting post, since I'm not a big fan of jams or mermelades myself, but at home everyone likes to eat a little with their toast in the morning, so as Mumu does I try to find the smaller sampler sizes, Bon Maman has a nice one, but my favorite is La Campagnola with their tomatoe mermelade. I'd love to try that fig and rosemary, if only I could find any figs *sigh* <Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6965298.post-1128666066313292912005-10-06T20:21:00.000-10:002005-10-06T20:21:00.000-10:00it looks so droolicious!!yum!do u mind sharing the...it looks so droolicious!!
yum!
do u mind sharing the receipe?

Posted by nakAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6965298.post-1128650167520325392005-10-06T15:56:00.000-10:002005-10-06T15:56:00.000-10:00Hi ChikaYou're not the only one avoiding the regul...Hi Chika

You're not the only one avoiding the regular-sized jars when it comes to jam! I'm a variety kind of person, so I'm not one to stick to one kind of jam. I tend not to finish the big jars too and have to throw them out when they expire. So now I only buy when I see the petite jars that come a few in a pack as samplers.

Great pictures, as usual!
<BR/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
